CASHIER SUPERVISOR

The main objectives include ensuring the efficiency, discipline, and productivity of cashiers, while also delivering excellent customer service. Additionally, this position requires training subordinates and providing detailed instructions on how to assist customers effectively. Working Fund Management Release and distribute accurate working fund to each cashier : The working fund is released and distributed to each cashier. Liaise with the cashier/s that different cash denominations are supplied for effective cash transactions with customers : Ensure cashiers are supplied with appropriate cash denominations. Monitor, check and cash out working fund to the account team on a daily basis : Supervising and verifying the cash out of the working fund to the account team. Cashier Operations and Management Ensure POS device system of cashier/s is running and in good condition. Report and coordinate immediately to Information Technology Personnel on malfunction system to avoid low productivity : Test the functionality of POS devices before shifts and report malfunctions to IT. Check regularly duty post of each cashier and ensure cashier/s are present to facilitate free flow of payment by customers : Monitor cashiers during peak hours to ensure customers can pay smoothly. Prepare weekly schedule of each cashier and ensure adherence to the policies and procedures of the company : Create and maintain a weekly schedule aligned with company policies. Step in to resolve disputes between cashier and customer over transactions with diplomatic approach in good judgement in the interest of the company : Intervene in disputes between cashiers and customers, using diplomacy and good judgment. Assist cashiers on promotional and senior citizens discount : Guide cashiers on applying promotional and senior citizen discounts. Prepare and request cashier/s supplies on a monthly basis : Request necessary supplies such as paper, pens, and change. Inform superior any suspicious activities related to finances and shop items or prompt attention : Report any suspicious financial or merchandise activity to the supervisor immediately. Train new and old cashier/s on proper implementation of CRM program and FSP : Conduct training on CRM program and FSP for all cashiers. Bank Transactions Assist bank personnel on their monthly bank maintenance : Support bank personnel with monthly maintenance tasks. Treasury Department Transaction Submit to treasury department total working fund of each cashier on a daily basis : Provide daily reports of the total working fund to the treasury department. End of the Day/Closing of Cash Register Cross-check account balance and records of each cashier at the end of their shift to ensure that items bought are in line with the total amount recorded : Verify receipts and cash amounts against POS records. Prepare observation report related to error, discrepancies, and shortages of cashier/s : Compile observations on errors, discrepancies, and shortages. Ensure the work environment is clean and hygienic in accordance with the image of the organization as perceived by the customer : Maintain a clean and hygienic environment. Process clearing of POS to each cashier in the absence of the SOAM or SOM : Close registers and generate reports for each cashier when SOAM or SOM is absent. Performance Management Monitor Cashier Accuracy: Keep track of transaction errors and cash discrepancies. Customer Satisfaction: Measure performance through customer feedback, especially regarding interactions with cashiers. Provide Training: Ensure ongoing development and skill building for cashiers. Conduct Regular Reviews: Conduct periodic performance reviews, either quarterly or annually, to evaluate achievements, challenges, and set goals for improvement. #J-18808-Ljbffr
