Job Title Dentist Job Type Full-time / Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive dental care to patients, including preventive, diagnostic, restorative, and emergency treatments. The Dentist will also educate patients on oral health and hygiene, and work closely with the dental team to ensure the highest standard of care. Education and Licensing Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school. Valid state dental license to practice dentistry. Additional certifications (e.g., CPR, sedation, or advanced dental procedures) may be required based on the practice's needs. Experience Previous experience as a practicing dentist is preferred, but recent graduates are welcome to apply. Experience with a range of dental procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, and preventive care. Skills and Knowledge In-depth knowledge of dental treatments, including exams, cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, and extractions. Familiarity with dental technologies such as X-ray machines, digital records, and treatment planning software. Strong understanding of patient care and oral hygiene best practices. Communication Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively explain procedures and treatment options to patients. Ability to create a comfortable and trusting environment for patients. Attention to Detail Strong attention to detail in diagnosing dental issues and performing procedures accurately. Ability to keep accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of treatments. Patient Care Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a focus on providing the best care possible. Ability to manage patient concerns and anxiety in a calm and professional manner. Time Management Strong time management skills to effectively manage a busy patient schedule. Ability to handle multiple patients and treatments throughout the day. Teamwork Ability to work collaboratively with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure smooth operations. Willingness to contribute to a positive and supportive clinic culture. Physical Stamina Ability to stand for extended periods and work with patients in various positions during procedures. Continuing Education Commitment to continuing education and staying updated with the latest advancements in dental care, technologies, and best practices. Compliance Knowledge of and adherence to health and safety regulations, infection control practices, and dental standards.
