Overview

FactSet creates flexible, open data and software solutions for over 200,000 investment professionals worldwide, providing instant access to financial data and analytics that investors use to make crucial decisions.

We work as an agile team focused on developing solutions for improving the operations and sustainability of FactSet's third-party data products. The team interfaces with other platform and product teams in Paris, London, Hyderabad, New York, and Norwalk.

We operate in a collaborative environment with a PO and Scrum Master responsible for the solution vision and execution management.

What You'll Do
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of software development experience
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Python or equivalent object-oriented programming languages
  • Significant experience developing APIs employing best practices, preferably using FastAPI
  • Significant experience with VueJS or equivalent web development framework
  • Considerable familiarity with AWS technologies or equivalent cloud technology provider
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, test and deploy high-quality, stable changes
  • Ability to adapt to changes in requirements and learn new tools and practices where needed
  • Ability to describe the business, client base, and how their work fits into the bigger picture
  • Ability to contribute to code review feedback for other engineers and to forward design ideas
  • Effective communication with peers within the organization
  • Willingness to be part of an on-call support rotation outside regular working hours
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid setup, reporting to the office at least twice a week

  • Participate in design discussions and brainstorming of ideas to improve and develop new features
  • Gain broader proficiency for the product and contribute to forward direction
