Software Engineer III

What You'll Do

• Directly implementing project work for my product. I contribute useful production code that forwards FactSet's business objectives
• Provide product support for clients and in-house users. Bugs related to my product are corrected in a timely manner for all affected users
• Review code from the rest of the team before submission. Ensure that good, correct code is being submitted
• Interviewing software engineering candidates. Ensure that FactSet makes appropriate hiring decision

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• 3-5 years of software development experience
• SQL Server, Perl, Python programming language proficiency In order, these are the languages most used in the code base I have to contribute to and maintain
• Time-management - several responsibilities at once
• Computer (IT) problem solving Being able to overcome numerous non-coding related technical challenges, including client support and software setup
• Windows OS Our main workstation and Office platforms are exclusively for the Windows OS
