AVP - Human Resources | Strategic HR Professional | Engagement Champion | Talent Acquisition Expert | Driving Operational Excellence and Employee… POSITION: BUDGET AND FINANCIAL PLANNING MANAGER FOR SM LEISURE, RESORTS AND RESIDENCES JOB DESCRIPTION: The Budget and Financial Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s budgeting process, financial planning, and analysis. This role plays a critical part in supporting strategic decision-making by providing insights into financial performance, project viability, and long-term financial sustainability. Budgeting and Financial Planning Lead the annual budgeting process across departments, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Develop financial forecasts and projections to support business planning. Monitor budget execution and provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations. Financial Analysis and Reporting Analyze financial statements to assess company performance and identify trends. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management. Conduct cost-benefit analysis and scenario modeling to support business decisions. Compute and analyze key financial metrics such as: Internal Rate of Return (IRR) Net Present Value (NPV) Payback Period Collaborate with project teams to ensure financial targets are met. Feasibility Studies Prepare comprehensive feasibility studies for new projects and investments. Evaluate financial viability and risks associated with proposed initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Certified Public Accountant Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, or related roles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling, etc.). Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems. Well-versed in financial statement preparation and forecasting. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Knowledge of real estate accounting is a strong advantage.
