Training and Development: May provide training and development opportunities for other technicians, enhancing their skills and knowledge. Safety Oversight: Implement and enforce safety protocols within the maintenance department to create a secure working environment. Qualifications In-depth knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment: Understanding the workings of various appliances, including ovens, grills, fryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and more. Experience with electrical, mechanical, and gas systems: Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical components in kitchen equipment, including gas lines and connections. Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment: Familiarity with common tools and instruments used for troubleshooting and repair, including multimeters, pressure gauges, and specialized equipment for specific appliances. Ability to read and interpret schematics and manuals: Understanding technical documentation to guide repairs and maintenance. Knowledge of safety protocols: Adhering to safety procedures when working with electrical and mechanical systems, including lockout/tagout procedures and proper handling of hazardous materials. Excellent communication skills: Effectively communicating with clients, supervisors, and other technicians, both verbally and in writing. Problem-solving abilities: Diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues, often under pressure to minimize downtime. Time management skills: Effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines, often working within tight schedules to minimize disruption to kitchen operations.
