Marketplace Performance & Operations Specialist (Amazon & E-Commerce)
About the Role
We are seeking a Marketplace Performance & Operations Specialist to drive growth, maintain account health, and optimize revenue across Amazon and other e-commerce platforms. This role goes beyond support—it’s about ownership, strategy, and execution.
As part of our operations team, you will work closely with the Director of Operations and Brand Managers to ensure smooth daily marketplace operations while identifying and implementing strategies for long-term growth. The right candidate will be proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented, with the confidence to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketplace Operations & Account Health
- Own and maintain account health across Amazon and other e-commerce platforms, ensuring compliance and proactively addressing risks.
- Lead listing health audits, troubleshoot catalog issues, and resolve stranded or hazmat inventory problems with minimal escalation.
- Manage case creation and escalation with Amazon support to resolve policy, catalog, and fulfillment issues.
Competitive Intelligence & Optimization
- Conduct competitor research to identify trends and features that can enhance performance.
- Monitor category rankings, Buy Box eligibility, deal participation, and promotional opportunities to maximize visibility.
- Execute A/B testing for listings, images, and content to continuously improve conversion rates.
- Provide pricing and margin-based recommendations to support brand managers in strategic decision-making.
Analytics & Forecasting
- Track customer experience metrics such as reviews, return rates, and NCX trends, and escalate risks proactively.
- Run demand forecasting, sales velocity monitoring, and inventory analysis to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Conduct customer lifetime value and repeat purchase analyses to support retention strategies.
- Deliver reporting and insights on category performance and competitor benchmarks.
Content & Marketing Support
- Partner with brand managers to optimize listings, update brand stores, and refresh content.
- Enroll products in Vine and early reviewer programs to build credibility and visibility.
- Support social media execution by coordinating posts and schedules with creative teams.
Multi-Channel & Collaboration
- Ensure consistent pricing across Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, and other channels.
- Work with fulfillment teams to resolve inventory discrepancies and dimension/oversize issues.
- Collaborate on catalog audits, new product launches, and international market opportunities.
Risk Management & Brand Protection
- Implement proactive account health monitoring and compliance safeguards.
- Monitor branded search terms, trademark violations, and unauthorized seller activity.
- Enforce MAP policies to protect brand integrity across channels.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience managing Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central accounts (additional marketplace experience is a plus).
- Proven ability to manage account health, resolve catalog issues, and optimize listings for growth.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, with strong data analysis and reporting skills.
- Experience in Amazon Vendor / Amazon 1P is preferred
- Familiarity with AI-driven tools for content generation, forecasting, or data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, work independently, and meet deadlines.
