Responsibilities
- Maintains and enforces a documented system of accounting policies and procedures;
- Oversee the operations of the Accounting Department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives;
- Oversee the accounting operations of branch/branches, specially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.
- Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner;
- Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable;
- Ensure that accounts receivables are collected promptly;
- Ensure that monthly bank reconciliations are completed;
- Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis;
- Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
- Issue timely and complete financial statements;
- Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report, if necessary;
- Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations;
- Calculate and issue the financial and operating metrics;
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit;
- Comply with the SEC, BIR, and government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is an advantage but not required.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in financial management or accounting, with a proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience in managing and overseeing a finance team is required.
- Strong experience with financial software and tools (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Excel).
- Solid understanding of financial principles, regulations, and industry standards.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, general accounting practices, and internal controls.
- Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams and coordinating cross-functional activities.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to evaluate complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
