Overview

Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist engineering and construction company with expertise in post-tensioning, structural solutions, and infrastructure development. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Senior Engineer to join the organization. The job will be based in Makati City, Philippines.

The Senior Engineer - Marketing and Planning will play a strategic role in driving new project opportunities, building client and stakeholder relationships, developing marketing strategies, managing tender and costing processes, coordinating with internal teams, resolving technical issues, mentoring junior engineers, contributing to strategic planning, and promoting the company through industry events and digital platforms.

STRATEGIC BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & CLIENT ENGAGEMENT

• Lead business development initiatives to identify, pursue, and secure new projects across target markets.
• Drive strategic partnerships and build long-term relationships with key clients, consultants, and government authorities.
• Conduct high-level client presentations and project briefings to effectively communicate company capabilities and value propositions.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase market penetration and strengthen the company's brand presence.
• Negotiate commercial terms and contractual conditions with clients to secure favourable and profitable project outcomes.

TENDERING & PROPOSAL MANAGEMENT

• Oversee and manage end-to-end tendering processes including bid strategies, pricing, and submission timelines.
• Prepare and verify quantity take-offs to support accurate and competitive pricing during tender submissions.
• Analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate costing and compliance.
• Review technical and commercial proposals to ensure alignment with client requirements and company objectives, and support management in the approval process.
• Collaborate with management to coordinate pricing strategies, risk assessments, and tender clarifications.

PROJECT PLANNING & TECHNICAL OVERSIGHT

• Plan and manage project resources, including manpower, machinery, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient execution and delivery.
• Review engineering designs, method statements, and construction methodologies for technical feasibility and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Assist the Design Department in resolving complex technical issues, especially related to post tensioning systems and structural solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and project planning support to site teams to ensure successful project execution.

LEADERSHIP & STRATEGIC CONTRIBUTION

• Serve as a key contributor to the company's strategic planning by analysing industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
• Mentor and support junior engineers in developing technical, commercial, and client-handling competencies.
• Identify operational improvements and lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

MARKET INTELLIGENCE, PUBLICITY & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

• Monitor industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging markets to anticipate business opportunities and risks.
• Recommend process improvements and innovations to enhance the company's competitive edge in both technical and commercial domains.
• Participate in industry exhibitions, conferences, and networking events to promote company presence and gather market insights.
• Contribute to social media and digital marketing efforts by supporting the creation of technical or promotional content that highlights the company's capabilities and project achievements.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
• PRC-licensed Civil Engineer / Registered Civil Engineer (RCE)
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in prestressing works, with a strong focus on post-tensioning systems
• Solid background in tendering, planning, and client coordination
• Strong communication, technical writing, and presentation skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player
