Payroll Specialist – Japan Support (Bilingual) Join Dayforce, a global human capital management (HCM) company, to support our Japan-based clients with precise payroll processing and bilingual communication. About This Role The Payroll Specialist II processes payroll, benefits, and statutory claims for Japan clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Japanese regulations. You will serve as the primary point of contact for both clients and internal teams. What You’ll Do Examine payroll advice for completeness, clarify with clients, and upload data for processing. Verify payroll reports against client checklists before client verification. Respond to client/employee queries within SLA timelines. Process statutory claims in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with labor and tax regulations. Participate in annual year‑end tax reporting and resolve related queries. Maintain filing and documentation of payroll materials. Update SOP documentation for assigned clients. Provide monthly MIS reports and headcount data to Finance for billing. Required Qualifications 2–3 years of payroll outsourcing experience, preferably in Japan or other APAC markets. Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English (reading, writing, speaking). Strong understanding of Japanese labor laws and tax requirements. Knowledge of accounting and salary taxation. Analytical, detail‑oriented, and able to manage competing priorities. Excellent customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Self‑starter with minimal direction. Strong written and verbal communication in both languages.
