The Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. The role requires strong leadership in managing a team, enforcing compliance with company policies and accounting standards, and maintaining effective vendor relationships. The AP Supervisor will also be responsible for process improvements, system enhancements, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Supervise and manage the accounts payable team, including task assignments, performance monitoring, and training.
- Review and verify invoices, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and compliance with company policies.
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and proper reconciliation of vendor accounts.
- Oversee the preparation and execution of check runs, wire transfers, and electronic payments.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Handle vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Treasury, and other departments for smooth transaction flow.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare reports and analysis related to accounts payable performance, aging, and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy ; CPA license is an advantage .
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role .
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or equivalent) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
