Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer – Solar Projects (Mid-level to Senior-level, multiple headcounts)

Work Setup: Hybrid (mix of office and remote)

Shift: Morning or Mid Shift

About the Role

A global renewable energy company is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join its solar design team. In this role, you will help design solar power systems. This is a great opportunity to work on clean energy projects with teams from different countries and support global sustainability efforts.

Main Responsibilities
  • Create designs for solar systems, including layout plans, wiring diagrams, inverter setups, and cable paths
  • Run shading and energy output simulations (using tools like PVSyst)
  • Work with engineers from other countries to meet high-quality design standards
Improving Designs
  • Make designs more efficient and cost-effective
  • Suggest better ways to design and build the systems for better results
Teamwork & Quality Checks
  • Coordinate with Sales, Engineers, and Project Managers to meet project goals
  • Review designs to make sure they are accurate and meet standards
  • Keep design tools and templates updated for smoother work
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all designs follow safety, environmental, and quality guidelines
What We’re Looking For Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred, but open to other equivalents)
Experience
  • 3-8+ years of work in electrical design engineering
  • At least 2 years working specifically on solar PV systems
  • Skilled in using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools
Technical Skills
  • Familiar with PVSyst or Helioscope is a plus
  • Good at analyzing data and solving problems
Soft Skills
  • Can work well with others and communicate clearly
  • Can handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
