Civil Designer

Job Overview ConnectOS is hiring a Civil Designer for Australian construction projects based in WFH. This role involves designing residential subdivision civil works and supporting design deliverables on schedule. Compensation and Schedule Salary: 60,000-80,000 Package. Schedule: Monday‑Friday 08:00‑17:00 PHT. Key Responsibilities Produce preliminary and detailed civil design drawings using 12D, Civil 3D, or Civil Site Design, along with documentation tools like AutoCAD or BricsCAD. Prepare and modify plans, cross‑sections, long sections, details, and bills of quantities following Australian Drafting Standards and relevant council specifications. Conduct data analysis and prepare technical reports using Excel and Word. Review and validate design plans to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications. Manage project timelines, ensuring design deliverables are completed within agreed timeframes while balancing multiple priorities. Perform hydrological and hydraulic modelling using HEC‑RAS to support the design of drainage systems, detention basins, and stormwater infrastructure. Develop VBA or Python scripts to automate repetitive design tasks and streamline workflows. Use GIS tools such as QGIS for spatial data analysis and mapping. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil engineering design. Proven experience with 12D, Civil 3D, or Civil Site Design, and strong drafting proficiency in AutoCAD or BricsCAD. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook. Familiarity with HEC‑RAS, VBA or Python, and QGIS is highly regarded. Preferred Certifications Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent. GIS certification or relevant technical training.
