Accounting Manager - Makati, National Capital Region

Responsibilities for Accounting Manager

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
  • Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
  • Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
  • Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end

Qualifications for Accounting Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it in a supervisory role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results

Salary: Up to Php30,000.00 per month

Benefits:

  • Promotion to permanent employee

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental Pay:

  • 13th month salary

Education:

  • Bachelor's (preferred)

License/Certification:

  • CPA (preferred)

Assistant Accounting Manager - Makati (Permanent)

The role is described as permanent with office in Makati City. Work setup: 4 days onsite and 1 day option to work from home. Schedule: Monday to Friday, flexible start between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy and conformance to reporting standards
  • Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment and reporting requirements
  • Assist in providing schedules and responses to annual BIR audits and IC verification
  • Regular reconciliation with Receivables and Collection Management on variances
  • Assist in reconciliation with balances per book and system
  • Ensure confidentiality of financial reports and schedules
  • Comply with new statutory issuances, regulations, and rulings

Requirements: Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy; Minimum 3 years people management experience; CPA board passer; Non-CPA welcome to apply as long as willing to take board exam; Proficient in Excel; Experience with BIR/SEC rules; Onsite work in Makati
