The Financial Reporting Expert (Band B) is a key role focused on the complete financial reporting cycle for the Globe Group. The position requires a certified public accountant with at least two years of experience in external audit or financial reporting. The expert is responsible for preparing monthly consolidated financial reports, quarterly and annual financial statements, and various reports for government agencies like the NTC and SEC. A significant part of the role involves acting as a point person for assigned portfolio companies, ensuring their compliance and reviewing their accounts. Additionally, the role includes preparing accounting research memos, managing the monthly closing of books, and assisting with external audits.

  • Prepares monthly consolidated financial reports including system processing, consolidation queries among others
  • Acts as a point person for portfolio companies assigned. Tasks include but are not limited to compliance, consulting and review of accounts.
  • Responsible for the completion of financial statement package for assigned reporting entity/ies including collation of inputs for period-to-period analysis on significant balance sheet and income statement fluctuations
  • Prepares the quarterly and annual financial statements for assigned reporting entity/ies and disclosures
  • Assists in managing the monthly consolidation and closing of books of accounts in compliance with financial reporting timelines
  • Prepares accounting research memos including assessments and application to various Globe Group transactions.
  • Creates/Maintains GL Database of all entities

Risk and Controls

  • Perform assessment of controls over financial reporting and related processes, including risk and control assessment and management of control effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements & guidelines

Compliance

  • Preparation of various reportorial requirements submitted to government agencies such as the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)
  • Assist the external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual financial statements audit

Others

  • Responsible for the continuous enhancement of accounting processes & controls. Point person in the various automation projects.
