We are seeking an innovative and dynamic Head of department - Mathematics to lead a dedicated team of educators delivering high-quality, engaging, and future-focused mathematics education. This role requires a passionate educator who can inspire both students and staff, drive curriculum innovation, analyse data to enhance learning outcomes, and ensure every student has the opportunity to achieve their full potential. This is a temporary full-time position for a period of 6 months, unless otherwise determined. About The Role Responsibilities include, but not limited to; Lead and guide innovative initiatives to improve student learning outcomes, attendance, and engagement—particularly in schools with disadvantaged student populations—ensuring equitable and high-quality education for all. Monitor and support student progress by analysing performance and behaviour data, preparing reports for senior management, and implementing targeted intervention strategies. Build strong partnerships with parents, higher education institutions, community organisations, and government agencies to enhance student achievement, attendance, and wellbeing. Develop and implement community and regional engagement strategies, liaising with external and support agencies to address the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students, including new arrivals and Indigenous learners. Ensure effective management and compliance by overseeing team resources, aligning practices with legislation and policy, and embedding socially just and inclusive principles in all operations.
