Base pay and schedule

Base pay range: $10,800.00/yr - $12,000.00/yr

Job Type: Part-Time (36 hours per week)

Work Hours: Monday to Saturday, 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM Pacific Time; Sunday to Friday, 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM Pacific Time

Salary: $1,000 per month

Job Responsibilities
  • Monitor daily DOT Hours of Service (HOS) and DVIRs on ELD (Samsara); identify and correct possible violations or discrepancies.
  • Set up, maintain, and close Federal and State DOT numbers, as well as other State and Local DOT regulatory requirements based on production location.
  • Conduct daily HOS log audits; download and organize documents such as Bills of Lading and Fuel Receipts.
  • Contact drivers regarding missing documents or upcoming Driver Qualification (DQ) document renewals.
  • Monitor trips using Transportation Management Software TRAXs; identify and correct discrepancies for any trip.
  • Report maintenance problems from DVIRs to supervisors or the Safety Department.
  • Provide Q&A training sessions with drivers and transportation management on HOS logs (ELD) and payroll systems.
  • Review safety events in Samsara, assign high-risk cases to Supervisors, and prepare a weekly Safety Report.
  • Ensure all drivers meet fleet and DOT requirements through Driver Qualification files (Licenses, Medical Certificates, Annual Driving Records, Clearinghouse Queries).
  • Ensure organizational policies and procedures remain aligned with current laws and industry regulations.
Qualifications and ideal profile
  • Proven experience in transportation compliance, safety, or regulatory roles (DOT compliance strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and ELD systems (Samsara experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Software (TRAXs or similar).
  • High attention to detail with the ability to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with drivers, supervisors, and management.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle daily monitoring and reporting tasks.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar tools.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset; committed to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
