Overview

Emerson invites you to join as a Lead Specialist, Sourcing Center of Excellence. You will complete a 30-day extensive training conducted by our Global Sourcing Team process experts and leaders across the globe. After training, you will be part of a team responsible for managing the Emerson sourcing process for all categories of indirect material and service procurement. The role emphasizes executing sourcing initiatives that enable Emerson to procure goods and services at the best overall cost of ownership and highest quality.

Responsibilities
  • To execute the necessary RFx to include requests for information, proposals, quotes, and bids to support the category management team.
  • To oversee the planning and management of end-to-end sourcing events and ensure timely completion.
  • To provide insights to the sourcing and category management teams regarding negotiations and potential improvements to future negotiations during sourcing events.
  • To conduct necessary sourcing requirements and report potential timelines and resource adjustments to the Sourcing Supervisor.
  • To assist in building the RFx tools and templates for sourcing execution.
  • To perform digital sourcing requirements and events in Oracle and other procurement systems.
  • To conduct award scenario analysis to supplement the category management and analytics teams’ decision-making.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Operations, or related courses.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, procurement operations, global sourcing, supplier management, commodity risk management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Working knowledge of e-procurement tools such as Ariba, Oracle Procurement, Sourcing Applications, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced course, Master’s Degree, or professional certification in Procurement, Technology, Strategy, and/or Project management is a plus.
