Accounting Staff

Responsible for day-to-day maintaining financial records, and assisting with tasks like bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable. Their duties also include preparing financial reports, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure all records are accurate.
Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports and statements, such as balance sheets and income statements, to provide management with an overview of the company's financial health.
Compliance: Help with local statutory and government requirements, such as preparing and filing tax returns with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
Administrative Support: Provide clerical assistance to the finance department, including maintaining files, handling paperwork, and responding to inquiries.
Invoice Processing: Review and verify vendor invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and proper authorization.
Payment Processing: Schedule and process payments to vendors and suppliers in a timely and accurate manner.
Record-keeping: Maintain meticulous and organized records of all accounts payable transactions and documentation.
Invoicing: Prepare and issue sales invoices and official receipts to customers.
Collections: Track incoming payments, post receipts, and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collection of payments from clients.
Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure accuracy and resolve any billing discrepancies or inquiries.
Qualifications
Attention to detail and accuracy: Given the critical nature of financial data, meticulousness is paramount to avoid errors.
Strong computer skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential for reporting, analysis, and data management.
Analytical and problem-solving skills: The ability to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies is a key part of the job.
Organizational and time-management skills: Accounting staff must handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet strict deadlines, especially during month-end or year-end closing.
Communication skills: Strong communication is necessary to coordinate with different departments, vendors, and clients.
