Tax Associate

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our finance/accounting team. The successful candidate will assist in preparing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and supporting clients or internal departments with tax-related matters. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in tax accounting. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Assist in gathering and organizing financial data for tax reporting. Conduct basic tax research and stay up to date on changes in tax laws and regulations. Support audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to inquiries from tax authorities. Review financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures. Maintain accurate and organized records of tax filings and related documents. Collaborate with senior tax staff and clients (or internal stakeholders) to ensure deadlines are met. Identify potential tax credits and liabilities and ensure accurate reporting. Assist in preparing quarterly and annual tax projections. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing). Basic understanding of tax regulations and accounting principles.
