SALARY: Up to PHP 120,000
DEPARTMENT: Engineering / Project Execution
REPORTS TO: Commissioning Manager / Project Director

JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commissioning Engineer to join our team for a large-scale solar power plant project in Nueva Ecija. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely commissioning of all electrical, mechanical, and control systems of the solar power plant.

You will collaborate closely with the EPC team, construction engineers, QA/QC, and O&M teams to ensure all systems meet design specifications, regulatory requirements, and performance standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Lead and execute commissioning activities for electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems of the solar power plant.
– Review and validate commissioning procedures, method statements, and test plans.
– Conduct pre-commissioning and functional tests of solar PV arrays, inverters, transformers, SCADA systems, protection systems, and balance-of-plant equipment.
– Ensure compliance with Philippine Electrical Code, grid interconnection requirements, safety regulations, and project specifications.
– Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and HSE teams to resolve punch-list items and ensure quality handover.
– Prepare detailed commissioning reports, test results, and system documentation.
– Provide technical support during performance testing and plant handover to Operations & Maintenance.
– Identify and troubleshoot system issues during commissioning and recommend corrective actions.
– Support training and knowledge transfer to O&M personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:
– Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
– License: Must be a Licensed Electrical Engineer (PRC).
– Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in commissioning activities, preferably in solar power plants, renewable energy, or power generation projects.
– Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, protection systems, switchgear, and SCADA.
– Familiar with international and local standards (NEC, IEC, PEC, NGCP interconnection requirements).
– Hands-on experience in testing and commissioning tools and procedures (insulation resistance, continuity, functional testing, relay testing, etc.).
– Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
– Strong communication and reporting skills; ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
– Willing to be based onsite in Nueva Ecija for the full 2-year contract.
