The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling customer shipments, ensuring smooth communication between clients and internal teams, and managing airfreight shipment documentation. This role requires a keen understanding of airfreight operations and a dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reports to the Airfreight ManagerProvide timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries regarding airfreight shipments.Receive incoming pre-alert shipments from agent for import shipments; send pre-alert to agents for export shipmentsMonitor shipments and proactively communicate any delays or issues to customersCoordinate with airfreight operations and other departments to ensure smooth cargo handling and deliveries.Handle shipment documentation, including airway bills, cargo manifests, customs clearance paperwork such as export declaration and certificate of origin, and invoicesSubmit inward manifests to customs prior to the arrival of cargoLiaise with airlines, customs brokers, and other service providers to ensure timely freight deliveryAddress and resolve customer complaints in a professional and effective mannerUpdate customers on shipment status and provide solutions to any unforeseen delays or issues.Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and transactions by updating the dashlog in a timely mannerEnsure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.Requirements:
Graduate of Customs Administration or Business Administration or any related 4-year courseMinimum 2 years of experience in airfreight or logistics/forwarding or related industryKnowledge in airfreight documentation, customs procedures, and international shipping regulations.Strong communication skills with the ability to handle multiple inquiries simultaneously.Knowledgeable in SAP and computer applicationsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed.Knowledge of customs and import/export regulations.
