Develop and implement forecasting models around inventory data to predict inventory needs and optimize stock levels.Clear with data needs and technical requirements needed to build a highly accurate and actionable data science platform that can be leveraged by technical teams, vendors and business users.Use statistical and machine learning techniques to build predictive models that improve demand forecasting accuracy.Analyze historical data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.Collaborate with data engineering team and CEO/CTO teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Monitor and evaluate the performance of forecasting models, making adjustments as needed to ensure accuracy and reliability.Conduct data analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.Requirements:Experience: prior experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on e-commerce and inventory management.Knowledge about ML current industry trends and advancements in forecasting methodologies and technologies.Technical Skills:Expertise in developing and deploying forecasting models and recommendation systems.Prior experience is fine tuning, training off the shelf ML algorithms to obtain higher accuracy and be able to compare performance, precision and recall between various classical algorithms.Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Keras).Proficiency in data science tools and programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.Proficiency in natural language processing (NLP) and text analysis.Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.Domain Expertise: Experience working with e-commerce marketplaces or inventory management platforms is strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with inventory management softwares is a plus Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS).Experience with A/B testing and experimental design.
