The Buyer 2 position is integral to the enterprise procurement and logistics team, focusing on supply chain operations including purchasing, supplier sourcing, contract management, and supplier oversight for indirect material commodities. This role plays a crucial part in driving financial outcomes through effective negotiation and close collaboration with suppliers to fulfill internal customer needs efficiently.

Purchasing Process Management: Execute the end-to-end purchasing process, including RFQ activities, creating and issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Cost Efficiency: Ensure cost-effectiveness in procurement by negotiating prices with suppliers through traditional methods or online reverse auctions/bidding. Customer Communication: Provide timely updates and communication to internal stakeholders regarding RFQs and purchase requisitions. Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate supplier performance to maintain quality standards and drive continuous improvement. Supplier Sourcing: Identify and onboard new suppliers to meet business requirements and enhance supplier diversity. Contract Management: Develop and execute purchase agreements, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure legal compliance with the company's legal counsel. Reporting and Accountability: Provide accurate and timely updates on procurement activities, including submitting reports and delivering presentations.Job RequirementsBachelor's Degree in any business or engineering courses. A diploma in Supply Chain is an advantageMinimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, specifically in purchasing indirect materials. Relevant certifications are highly desirable but not requiredProficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each is completed efficiently and on schedule. Skilled at prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and deliver results consistently. Exhibits strong teamwork skills, collaborating effectively with individuals across diverse organizational levels to achieve common goals. Strong Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to effectively negotiate favourable terms, prices, and agreements to secure the best value for the organization. Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as adept in leveraging Power Platform for enhanced productivity and automation.
