Job Purpose:

The Director of Information Technology plays a key role in the company leadership team in shaping the company vision and direction. This role involves the strategic development and execution of IT strategies that are in harmony with the company's business objectives, thereby driving business value and fostering innovation.

Based in our biggest office in Manila, the ideal candidate for this role would be someone who demonstrates robust leadership abilities, technical proficiency, and a strategic approach to effectively steer our IT team.

Key stakeholders:

Reports to: CEOWorks with: Department Heads and external organizationLeads: IT team Core priorities:Developing and leading the implementation of the company's technology strategyLead the development team through the development and implementation of user experience and product innovation Foster the company's digital transformation Be the catalyst in changing the company's culture to become data drivenEnsuring technologies are used efficiently, profitably and securelyEvaluating and implementing new systems and infrastructure

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement long-term strategies and product innovation that supports business growth ambitionProvide leadership and direction to the IT team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.Work with other departments to optimize current technologies to streamline company operationsWork with executive team to establish a data & analytics function capitalizing on company's rich stream of dataCollaborate with the executive team to drive new business initiatives including new channels, acquisitions, etc. Develop and optimize the infrastructure needed to drive BI e.g. Data warehouse, data analytics, reporting tools, systems, measurement tools, etc. Focus on ROI improvement of all technology Consistently evaluate organization's technical efficiency and make necessary changes Ensure system infrastructure functionality and efficiency. Monitor systems and budget and technology resourcesBuild and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders, key executives and decision makers to pro-actively drive technology optimization and build synergies towards revenue targetsDemonstrate competence and sound understanding of relevant technical applications and solutionsDevelop and direct all networking safeguards to reduce the risk of outside breaches and protect sensitive internal and external client informationEnsure the company has a suitable disaster recovery policy and adequate implementable contingency plansAs a member of the leadership team, contribute to the design and implementation of the overall company strategy Coach, develop and mentor team members for optimization of team's effectivenessLead and managed the Technology team; monitor team's performance and conduct performance reviews including mapping out development plans to strengthen team's capability. Key RequirementsDegree in IT Management, Engineering or related fieldProven people leader with track record of achievement at Regional Director level leading a robust IT department in a digital environment.Proven experience 10 years in a senior leadership role in IT, preferably in the E-commerce, Conglomerate industry.Proven extensive experience in innovation, product and software development With excellent project management skills and a strong track record of delivering IT solutions that improve business operations.Stakeholder management and expert level project management abilities (certification highly desirable) With strong business acumen, understanding of budgets and business planningStrategic thinking and problem-solving aptitudeWorking Arrangement:Amenable to report in Makati Office, Monday to Friday scheduleThis position will require you to travel due to business and operational requirements.
