Plans department objectives and achieves targets by managing a team that handles FSMS Documentations and Compliance, Pest Control, Sanitation & Hygiene, Halal Assurance, Document Control, Regulatory Affairs, Internal and External Audits (Vendors, Clients, Regulatory, and Certifying Bodies).Leads the members of the Food Safety Team and is responsible for: (1) Ensuring the FSMS is established, maintained, and updated. (2) Managing and organizing the work of the food safety team. (3) Ensuring relevant training and competencies for the food safety team. (4) Reporting to top management on the effectiveness and suitability of the FSMS.Leads the FSMS risk and opportunity assessment based on the determined internal and external issues from all departments.Undertake various functions related to management review, including but not limited to the following: (1) Prepares the agenda based on the FSMS standard. (2) Coordinates the schedule with top management and other members of the management committee. (3) Consolidates significant data based on the required inputs and outputs of the ISO standard. (4) Reports information related to the results of department objectives, verification activities, audits, risk assessments, product recalls and withdrawals, etc.Leads the food safety and quality certifications of the company as advised by the top management.Evaluates current food safety and quality programs. Continuously improve and/or adjust SOPs whenever necessary in order to comply with the requirements of the reference food safety standard (e.g., FSSC), regulatory, and client requirements.Plots target schedules for audits and trainings (both internal and external) for all NFHI plants. Reviews and updates the department calendar from time to time.Ensures that suppliers are being audited based on the annual risk assessment and audit plan developed by the NFHI External Audit Team. Reviews audit reports and auditor accuracy; and manages feedback and evaluation received from auditees.Undertake various functions related to internal audits, including but not limited to the following: (1) Reviews audit results and related records conducted by the internal audit team. (2) Conduct audit calibration and alignment to ensure auditor competency and accuracy.Undertake various functions related to external audits, including but not limited to the following: (1) Communicates the audit plan to food safety team members. (2) Assists external auditors during plant audits and visits. (3) Approves the release of CCAR to external auditors. (4) Ensures closure of audit findings in coordination with concerned personnel and departments.
