The Product: Safe Bank

As part of our commitment to being a secure and compliant bank, we are looking for a Data Management Expert (DME) to support our Know Your Customer, Fraud, and Collections processes.

Key characteristics:

  • Self-starter with a strong ability to collaborate in a global team across different locations
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability
  • Proficient in agile practices with a practical approach to fostering close collaboration and transparency
  • Experience in the banking industry
  • Familiarity with Data Management, Data Lake, and Data Warehousing concepts is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with various teams within ING Safe Bank (KYC, Fraud, Collections) to understand and address their data requirements
  • Analyze consumption needs, and provide detailed specifications for DevOps engineers
  • Contribute to Data Governance initiatives by defining and maintaining Data Definitions, creating Data Quality rules, and supporting Data Retention efforts
  • Identify opportunities to streamline internal processes for faster data discovery and delivery
  • Engage with different stakeholders including Architects, Data Stewards, Data Sourcing squads, and Engineers to design and implement data lake solutions, ensure data quality, and facilitate data delivery processes
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to determine the scope of data delivery, organize workshops, and work on sustainable resolutions for data-related challenges
