This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make independent decisions to ensure the efficient flow of materials and products through the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise warehouse operators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and accurate warehouse operations.Manage warehousing activities, including receiving, storage, and distribution of materials and products.Maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy.Utilize ERP systems to manage inventory levels, track material movements, and generate reports for management review.Coordinate import and export processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timely delivery of materials and products.Implement and monitor warehouse safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations to enhance efficiency and consistency.Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless material flow and support production schedules.Identify and implement process improvements to optimize warehouse operations and reduce costs.Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to warehousing and inventory management promptly and effectively.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.At least 1 year of experience in warehouse operations, with a focus on inventory management.Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management software.Knowledge of basic import and export processes and regulatory requirements.Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate warehouse operators.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to make independent decisions and solve problems effectively.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Experience in a Japanese manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably within the automotive or electronics industries.Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in warehouse operations.
