Job Description

Summary/objective

As an Administrative Assistant, you will be a professional member of the HORNE Construction operations team. Together with our substantial investments in technology, knowledge, and learning resources for our accounting professionals, you will be part of the team that delivers quality services to our internal and external clients.

Essential Functions

Setting up new client files or rolling forward in CasewarePreparing financial statements in CasewareUpdating/formatting financial statementsProofreading and finalizing financial statementsOrganizing and saving signed tax documentsGeneral help to organize the managers and facilitate communication and meetingsChecking math on financial statements to ensure accuracyPreparing engagement letters and other client correspondenceCoordinating the timely flow of processing requests from assurance staffMaintaining and updating data within multiple SmartsheetsOrdering supplies Submitting vendor invoices through the accounts payable systemAssisting with client billing and invoicesOther administrative duties as requested Work environment

Physical demands

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Potentially up to 8 hours/ day to be worked on U.S. time Required education and experienceUniversity degree and/or college diploma preferred2-4 years of administrative experienceMust possess advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skillsMust have strong attention to detailMust be able to work with numbers, and have a basic understanding of accounting principlesExperience in the following software preferred: CaseWare, Smartsheet, NetSuite, Data SnipperMust be able to learn and adapt to new technologyAble to work under pressure and meet deadlinesMust have good interpersonal skills and be able to liaise with clients, staff, and outside parties
