Philippines Monroe Consulting Group Full time

The position plays an essential role in ensuring accurate and timely accounting and reconciliation processes within the R2R Tower. Responsibilities focus on supporting the recording of revenue accounting transactions and maintaining the integrity of financial transactions.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Input, maintain, and review Oracle-based accounting records for the assigned business area in compliance with accounting standards and Group policies.
  • Execute period-end close processes and escalate issues in accordance with Group close deadlines.
  • Verify that all accounting transactions and GL balances have robust evidence and undergo regular reconciliation.
  • Review and enhance accounting processes to enhance efficiency and reduce unnecessary workload.
  • Operate controls following the Risk and Control Matrix (RACMs).
  • Collaborate with COE - Controlling to ensure correct accounting treatment.
  • Meet daily, weekly, monthly, and annual performance targets and KPIs.
  • Provide supported balance sheet reconciliations to senior management.
  • Ensure work aligns with SLAs and report non-compliance instances.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize continuous professional development to stay updated on internal, legislative, and industry best practices.
  • Implement required changes promptly and accurately.
  • Support internal and external audit activities through necessary documentation provision.

The above responsibilities are not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as per the role's level and grading.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Education and Experience:
    • Secondary education or equivalent.
    • CPA or equivalent (ACCA) in progress.
    • 3-5 years of R2R accounting/GL experience, preferably in a Shared Service Centre or global finance department.
    • Lean Six Sigma Yellow belt is a plus.
    • Experience in complex global businesses is advantageous.
    • Solid grasp of fundamental accounting principles.
  • Language Skills
    • Proficient in English.
  • Professional & Personal Skills
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in data validation and record-keeping.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and reconciliation tools.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet reconciliation deadlines.
    • Effective organizational skills for handling multiple reconciliation tasks simultaneously.
