**Job Summary:** Manage a team of individual contributors on the Codes Editorial team, responsible for researching and publishing statutes, administrative codes, and court rules in the United States and the United Kingdom.

As a Manager, Codes Editorial, you will lead a team of experienced editors and researchers in Manila, working closely with Senior Managers and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality content to customers. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Coaching and developing individual contributors to achieve their full potential
  • Communicating team performance and goals to Senior Managers and other stakeholders
  • Providing guidance and direction to the team to ensure they are focused on the most important priorities
  • Attracting and developing great talent, including participating in interview and candidate selection
  • Identifying development areas and providing timely feedback and coaching to direct reports
  • Positively resolving issues among team members and communicating issues to Senior Managers
  • Learning and adapting to new situations, and encouraging the team to do the same

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Proactively communicate with Senior Managers to ensure the team is successfully engaged and achieving goals
  • Collaborate with Senior Managers and other managers to share resources and complete high-priority work
  • May perform editorial work to meet currency and quality expectations of customers
  • Support collaboration within the team by coaching and encouraging staff to look beyond their own work
  • Maintain active communications with Senior Managers and across management teams to alert others about issues and establish best practices
  • Establish fruitful relationships with managers outside of the department and look for opportunities to build on those connections
  • Communicate effectively and consistently to the team about department and company initiatives
  • Successfully represent the company as a leader participating in events and meetings
  • Lead through influence to drive results across multiple, cross-functional teams

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Understanding of legal research products and the needs of legal researchers
  • Comfortable leading staff and collaborating with management and peers to address business needs
  • Analytical thinker and collaborative teammate who uses logic and discretion to solve difficult problems
  • Solid 5 years People Manager experience
  • Strong preference for content management, editing, and publishing experience
  • Decisive with a focus on making quality decisions quickly
  • Comfortable with personal computers and familiar with word processing and online applications
  • Prioritize tasks and projects and pursue them with energy and drive
  • Strong, proactive, and assertive communicator who can speak and write clearly and effectively
  • Lead by influence and example and collaborate with Human Resources and Senior Managers to address employee concerns and performance issues
  • Plan and direct work activities to meet product targets and customer specifications
  • Utilize and leverage people, systems, processes, and resources to meet workflow requirements and optimize efficiency
  • Adhere to budget with oversight and accountability for assigned products or functions
