Job Purpose:

To support the delivery of timely, accurate, and sound financial information and analysis related to Group and Local Reporting to keep track of company performance and serve as a guide in management decision-making.

Critical Accountabilities:

Key Result Areas:
  • Accurate and timely monthly financial statement
  • Monthly group and local performance reporting
  • Strategic Planning
  • Business partnering, ad hoc reporting and special local/RO projects
Major Activities:
  • Preparation of general-purpose financial statements
  • Coordinates with other FCA managers to understand investment, disbursement, and insurance accounting
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial close process i.e. adhere to WD3 requirement
  • Coordinates and collaborates across FCA for new accounting standards and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with FSC and accounts reconciliation team for various adjustments based on their review of accounts reconciliation.
  • Preparation of Monthly Local Finance Dash-board and Group Management Dashboard reporting including MIS/Magnitude input (serves as the point person; prepares, analyzes, and consolidates pack ensuring accuracy of information and coherence of commentaries and business insights)
  • APE performance reporting including the formulation of commentaries and business insights (flash report, Regional Finance Dashboard, Financial Highlights, reports for Actuarial, MBTC cross-selling, and other related ad hoc reports)
  • Presentation of analysis of P&L by Channel, Balance Sheet (with variance analysis), TOCF, Strategic Pillars, and Active Distributors
  • Coordination with support units to obtain key information.
  • Handling of inquiries
  • Assist in the preparation of reports (particularly APE) for the Strategic Planning exercise
  • Providing commentaries and business insights as needed.
  • Coordination with Investments, FC&A, the channels, and other business units and provision of data to Actuarial.
  • Handling of inquiries.
  • Other tasks as may be assigned
  • Analysis and preparation of reports for projects, channel/division, and JV requirements.
  • Improvement of reporting processes
  • Designing new and useful reports
  • Communicating results to business units to bring back financial insights that identify, manage, and improve performance.
