Job Overview:

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, and achieving financial goals. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service.Monitor and manage inventory, ordering supplies as needed.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.Staff Management:Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, and kitchen staff.Create staff schedules and manage labor costs.Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development.Customer Service:Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service.Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.Gather customer feedback and implement improvements based on feedback.Financial Management:Develop and manage budgets, including labor costs, food costs, and operational expenses.Analyze financial reports and identify areas for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.Implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.Marketing and Promotions:Plan and execute marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones.Coordinate events and promotions to boost sales.Utilize social media and other marketing channels to promote the restaurant.Menu Development:Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and update menus.Ensure menu items are profitable and meet customer preferences.Monitor food quality and presentation.Facility Management:Ensure the restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and in good repair.Oversee maintenance and repairs as needed.Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.Administrative Duties:Maintain accurate records, including sales, inventory, and employee records.Prepare reports for the General Manager or Owner.Ensure all licenses and permits are up to date.Qualifications:At least 3 years Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.Knowledge of health and safety regulations.Culinary or hospitality degree is a plus.Working Conditions:The position involves long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy items.Ability to work in a high-stress environment.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for long periods.Manual dexterity to operate restaurant equipment.
