The General Storeroom Officer is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the storeroom, ensuring accurate inventory management, timely fulfillment of item requirements, and effective stock control.

Key Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

Forecasting of item requirementsRe-ordering: Place timely orders for stocks to maintain optimal inventory levels and avoid stockouts.Receiving: Inspect and verify incoming items against purchase orders to ensure accuracy and quality.Item Fulfillment: Process item requests efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely delivery to departments or customers.

Secondary Responsibilities

Inter-transfer Reports: Prepare and maintain accurate records of item transfers between different locations or departments.Receiving Reports: Generate detailed reports on received items, including quantities, dates, and suppliers.Inventory Reports: Conduct regular inventory counts and prepare comprehensive reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and usage patterns.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Management with a major in Operations.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a storeroom or warehouse environment.Skills: Strong organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, computer literacy, Proficiency in Basic MS Office – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Par Stocking and Reordering.
