Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of the business entity of a global leader in construction industry. Our esteemed client is currently seeking a Farm Manager who is open to working on-site during day shifts.

About the role:

  • Overseeing farm operations including nursery, development, harvesting, and maintenance. Ensuring timely delivery of farm produce to the mill, maintaining roads, and managing farm budget and costs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Farm Development:
  • Preparing the farm for development activities, planning budgets, coordinating seedling delivery, organizing manpower, and managing crop maintenance until maturity.
  • Production and Delivery Efficiency includes:
  • Monitoring production volume, quality, cost, delivery time, fertilization, and maintenance. Planning harvest areas, schedules, and coordinating with mill for timely delivery and quality check.
  • Farm Equipment and Housing Maintenance:
  • Managing inventory of equipment and animals, ensuring maintenance, and following livestock standards.
  • Risk Management and Continual Improvement:
  • Implementing agricultural standards, analyzing and mitigating risks, resolving issues, and managing inventory.
  • Leading and Organization:
  • Supervising team leads, facilitating meetings, attending training, promoting health and safety, and demonstrating ethical behavior.
  • Communication and Reporting:
  • Preparing progress reports, identifying issues, communicating effectively, and tailoring information for different audiences.
  • People Management:
  • Delegating responsibilities, monitoring performance, and performing effective performance management.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Animal Science or related field. Additional courses in business or administration are a plus. Minimum 5 years experience in farming, management experience preferred. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and MS Office skills required.
