This role represents an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of diverse projects and programmes across a range of industries and sectors. You will be the first port of call for all end users to help resolve any IT issues that arise.

As part of your role, you will interface with the Mace project team and occasionally stakeholders from other organisations, if working on a joint venture project or directly for a client. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced practitioners and further develop your technical skill set.


You'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the team in raising IT tickets inclusive of self-management of your own tickets
  • Reimaging and cleaning returned assets for the use of repurposing within the project.
  • Onboarding and offboarding employees, ensuring they are trained in how to use our equipment and systems securely and correctly
  • Setting up and maintaining AV and conferencing equipment
  • Installation of software's, once approved
  • Document IT procedures, user guides, and troubleshooting steps to create a knowledge base for future reference
  • Assisting with Asset Management
  • Server Room support - providing remote hands support while guided by our network techs (checking ports, tracing cables, rebooting hardware, upgrading devices)
  • Printer support (installation, configuration, and troubleshooting)

You'll also have:

  • 3+ years of relevant IT support experience.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 tech stack including the Office 365 suite including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint
  • Support of a Microsoft Windows Environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot a range of technical issues including but not limited to hardware (laptops, control rooms, printers, mobile phones, servers & networking appliances) & software suites
  • Ability of when to know to escalate issues with the relevant internal teams
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A firm commitment and apply knowledge of the principles of the Data Protection Act 2018/GDPR
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • A willingness to share knowledge and support the development of others
  • The confidence to ask questions, make suggestions and challenge the status quo
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentational skills
  • A commitment to working inclusively
  • An aptitude for problem-solving
  • Good interpersonal skills
