Pricing Manager

The role is crucial as it involves managing pricing for retail insurance lines and supporting partnership requirements specifically for motor partnerships and residential banca products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish technical rates for motor and residential insurance
- Create commercial rates considering regulatory constraints and market conditions to ensure competitive rating structures
- Develop and maintain pricing models end-to-end, including data preparation, analysis, modeling, and rate calculations
- Set and maintain standard rates and partnership/group rates for motor and residential insurance
- Ensure proper utilization of quotation tools and standard rating structures
- Provide regular portfolio reports, analysis, and recommendations for enhancing profitability in motor and residential insurance
- Regularly update loss models to enhance accuracy and predictive power
- Collect new data for motor and residential insurance to enhance customer segmentation
Other Responsibilities:
- Support organization and facilitation of key technical meetings
- Enhance pricing controls and governance to maintain consistency in rating practices
- Contribute to annual Strategic Planning exercises related to expected loss ratios
- Conduct regular market analysis of competitor rates for pricing benchmarking
Requirements for Success:
- Minimum of 4 years experience in non-life actuarial function focusing on pricing and reserving for retail and commercial insurance
- Associate/near Associate of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines and Casual Actuarial Society (highly preferred)
- Strong background in predictive analytics and statistical modeling tools such as R, Python, and SQL
- Proven ability to collaborate with business units, particularly Underwriting and Distribution teams, on pricing and portfolio management
- Experience in leading technical teams, coaching, workload management, and handling multiple projects simultaneously
