Job Summary: As a Flooring Estimator, you will be integral to our construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates for flooring installations. Your expertise in using Measure Square and extensive experience in flooring estimation will ensure our projects are competitively priced and meet client expectations. You will collaborate closely with project managers, suppliers, and clients to develop detailed and precise proposals.

Note: Qualified candidates who pass the Final Interview with the client will be given a sample job as a test to further assess their capabilities and then decide from there.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimate Preparation: Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for flooring projects, including materials, labor, and other associated costs.Measure Square Proficiency: Utilize Measure Square software to create precise takeoffs and estimates.Plan Analysis: Review and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and scopes of work to determine project requirements.Vendor Communication: Obtain and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and related documentation.Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure a smooth handover of successful bids.RequirementsExperience: 3-5+ years of experience as a Flooring Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Measure Square is required. Experience with other estimation software is a plus.Knowledge: Strong understanding of flooring materials, installation methods, and industry standards.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze plans, specifications, and scopes of work to develop accurate estimates.Communication: Great verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of the estimation process.Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.Education: A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
