Job Description:

Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards applicable to the financial services sector particularly for MFC and Insurance Agency in the Philippines.Design and implement compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and mitigate risks associated with money laundering, fraud, and other financial crimes.Conduct regular compliance assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and identify areas for improvement.Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices, and advise senior management on potential impacts and necessary adjustments to compliance strategies.Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance matters, including ethics, anti-money laundering (AML), and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements.Investigate and respond to compliance incidents, including conducting internal investigations, implementing corrective actions, and reporting findings to relevant authorities when necessary.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, risk management, and operations teams, to ensure a coordinated approach to compliance across the organization.Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries and examinations, and facilitate communication and cooperation with regulatory agencies as needed.Prepare and submit regulatory filings, reports, and disclosures in accordance with regulatory requirements and deadlines.Stay abreast of emerging trends and developments in compliance and regulatory landscape, and proactively recommend enhancements to compliance programs to address evolving risks.Experience in drafting, reviewing, redlining, analyzing and summarizing legal documentation in the financial services business such as financing and collaboration agreements with banks and financial institutions, lending agreements, outsourcing agreements, corporate commercial partnership agreements, channel partner agreements, non-disclosure agreements, memorandum of understanding, and software license agreementAbility to analyze and assess business processes, identify issues and propose pragmatic solutions while possessing a strong legal and business judgementPossessing an exceptional legal aptitude and acumen in analyzing statutes, regulations and documents while possessing a commercial outlookIndependently drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts for various business lines including technology, SAAS, procurement and other day-to-day business contracts
