Core Job Responsibilities

  • Taking a leading role in building the business of brands handled, directly, and through direct reports by providing guidance and strategic directions.
  • Think strategically to identify and draw out effective business and plan for short and the long-term goals.
  • Ensure available resources are deployed to aid in the significant impact on share and profit.
  • Align agreements within the team and cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of tasks and projects on time, effective management of resources including A&P, which supports brands handled.
  • Motivate and drive the team to achieve financial and strategic objectives, achieving measurable business results that stand out and turn around key business priorities
  • Develop and strengthen direct report's capabilities through training, delegation of project management, to ensure career growth and increase retention rate
  • Understand consumer needs, attitudes, and competition to develop effective brand strategies and business plans.

Key Areas and Accountabilities

  • Sales and division margin achievements of brands, therapy areas
  • Sales plan of the brands being managed
  • Grow market share of the brands
  • Timely execution of the strategic brand plans for the key regional products/affiliates (portfolio, sales forecast, positioning, messaging, budget and resource allocation)
  • Understand the local market reality/needs, challenge and support APAC affiliates on their local strategy, tactics and implementation plans.
  • Monitor the evolution of the environment and assess its potential future impact on the business model and forecast
  • Identify unmet market needs for the assigned group of brands in the portfolio
  • New product/Portfolio:
    • Manage central launch planning and tracking for OTC NPI
    • Supervise the affiliate launch teams to ensure successful execution.
    • Support BD (Business Development) initiatives and opportunities
  • Create a working environment in which all internal stakeholders share common objectives and are motivated to excel in execution.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement within marketing.

Minimum Qualification:

  • College education - preferably Marketing or Business Management Graduate
  • With at least 5 years of OTC/FMCG marketing experience
  • Exposure in business development and digital marketing
  • Regional experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical market is a plus
