This is a full-time role, Mondays to Fridays, on a Mid-shift schedule.

This is an office-based position in central Cebu City.

The expected start date is June 2024.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The JUNIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER AND TEST ENGINEER will assist in the execution of software testing activities to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications. This role involves developing and executing test cases, reporting defects, and collaborating with the development team to resolve issues. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of software testing principles, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within the field of quality assurance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining test cases.
  • Identify, report, and track software defects.
  • Collaborate with developers to resolve issues and ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Work closely with the QA team and other stakeholders to understand requirements and project goals.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar.
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in Software QA Testing.
  • Proficiency in common web technologies, including HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SOAP, and REST.
  • Familiarity with WSDL and OpenAPI specifications.
  • Knowledge of security standards like OAuth and SAML.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and at least one programming language.
  • Willing to learn new programming languages.
  • With good analytical thinking and has the potential to become a No-Code platform expert.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal & written English and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and/or team members effectively.
