Job Title: Learning & Development Manager – Individual Contributor

Location: Remote

Department: Human Resources

Reports to: Human Resources Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview: We seek a dynamic and experienced Learning & Development (L&D) Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be adept at identifying training gaps, developing robust development plans, and designing effective succession planning strategies. This role is crucial in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Gap Analysis:
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify skills and knowledge gaps.
    • Collaborate with department heads to understand specific training needs.
    • Utilize data-driven approaches to evaluate the effectiveness of current training programs.
  • Development Planning:
    • Design and implement development plans tailored to individual and team needs.
    • Create engaging and impactful training programs, including workshops, e-learning modules, and on-the-job training.
    • Monitor and evaluate the progress of development initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Succession Planning:
    • Develop and execute a strategic succession planning process.
    • Identify and nurture high-potential employees for leadership roles.
    • Ensure a pipeline of qualified candidates for key positions within the organization.
  • Program Management:
    • Oversee the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of L&D programs.
    • Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for L&D initiatives.
    • Track and report on the effectiveness and ROI of training programs.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work closely with senior leadership to align L&D initiatives with organizational goals.
    • Partner with HR and department managers to ensure training needs are met.
    • Facilitate communication between trainers, employees, and management to ensure seamless program implementation.
  • Leadership and Coaching:
    • Provide guidance and support to team members in their professional development.
    • Lead and mentor a team of L&D professionals.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Learning & Development or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in training gap analysis, development planning, and succession planning.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certification in relevant L&D practices or tools (e.g. Lucidity, etc.) is a plus.
