Your Role

As a Senior Associate for Recruitment and People Analytics at Edge Tutor International, your primary responsibility is to lead our talent acquisition efforts, leverage data analysis for continuous improvement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the delivery of high-quality tutoring services.

Your Impact

  • Candidate Experience: You will serve as the face of the company to applicants and educators, ensuring a seamless and professional candidate experience.
  • Onboarding Excellence: Your role involves onboarding new tutors and maintaining a 100% retention rate, from initial screening through endorsement for projects and accounts.
  • Talent Sourcing: Utilizing various channels, including Facebook groups, job boards (Kalibbr, Jobstreet, Linkedin), social media platforms, and professional networks, you will identify and engage with potential independent contractor tutors who meet Edge Tutor International's criteria and standards.
  • Candidate Evaluation: Your expertise in resume screening, interviews, and reference checks will enable you to assess potential candidates' qualifications, experience, technical requirements, and teaching skills, ensuring alignment with Edge Tutor International's educational philosophy and values.
  • Recruitment Strategy: You will play a crucial role in researching and proposing effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of talented educators.
  • Relationship Building: Establishing and nurturing positive relationships with potential candidates is vital. You will address their inquiries and concerns and effectively communicate the value proposition of Edge Tutor International as a platform for their tutoring services.
  • Collaborative Partnership: Close collaboration with the operations team is essential to understand tutor requirements, subject areas, and specific needs for tutoring sessions. Your input and suggestions regarding tutor profiles and expertise needed will be invaluable.
  • School and Agency Partnership: You will actively develop relationships and partnerships with career placement teams at teacher colleges for candidate sourcing or partner with third-party agencies.
  • Onboarding and Orientation: Coordinating and facilitating the onboarding process for newly recruited tutors is part of your responsibilities. Ensuring they are fully equipped with the necessary tools, technology, and information to deliver exceptional tutoring services through Edge Tutor International is crucial.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of all recruitment activities, the candidate database, and master files of all hires will be a key part of your role. You will also assist in generating regular reports to track recruitment metrics, analyze trends, and provide insights for process improvement.
  • Compliance and Policies: Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and guidelines related to recruitment practices and independent contractor agreements is vital to our operations.
  • KPI Management: Setting specific targets for the number of independent contractor tutors to be recruited within a given timeframe, tracking the conversion rate of potential candidates, and striving to retain a high percentage of recruited tutors on the platform for the first 30 days are all part of your impact.
  • Attracting Top Educators: You will play a crucial role in attracting and onboarding the Philippines' top educators to our platform.

Your Profile

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Resource Development, Behavioral Sciences, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of professional experience in HR and Recruitment, including proficiency in conducting phone and in-person interviews, candidate screening, and evaluation.
  • Recruitment Expertise: A strong understanding of the end-to-end recruitment process, along with experience in conducting onboarding or new hire orientations.
  • Skills: Proficiency in office equipment operation, organizational and planning abilities, effective relationship management, strong record-keeping capabilities, and deductive reasoning skills.

Nice to Have

  • Legal Knowledge: Working knowledge of Independent Contractor laws.
  • Industry Familiarity: Familiarity with online tutoring platforms.
  • Specialized Experience: Experience in BPO/ESL Recruitment would be an asset.
