The impact you will have in this role:

Being a member of the Cyber Blue Team, you directly contribute to the security and stability of the global financial system. The mission of the Cyber Blue Team is to protect the organization from external cyber threats and to respond to and handle cyber incidents. Through teams located in different geographic locations, the blue team performs round-the-clock monitoring and leads cyber incident response, digital forensics, and eDiscovery functions. As a critical component of the risk organization, the blue team's performance and initiatives are scrutinized directly by the board and industry regulators. As a result, we maintain an aggressive exercise tempo including weekly, monthly, and quarterly exercises as well as numerous drills and assessments.

Collaborating with the Cyber Blue Team Regional Manager and working with technical leads and other associates, you are responsible for detecting, investigating, and responding to cyber security events in the organization as well as handling technical projects. You are a member of the Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) and as a result may be tasked with responding to cyber incidents outside of normal work hours.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, Detect, Analyze, and respond to cyber security events.
  • Perform eDiscovery and other technical tasks.
  • Independently lead investigations and technical tasks.
  • Train and mentor staff members.
  • Participate in training, exercises, and process improvement program.
  • Occasional travel to conferences, training, and other offices (up to 10%).
  • On-call rotation and occasional after-hours work.

Qualifications:

  • At least two (2) years previous experience as a SOC analyst or similar role.
  • Can demonstrate the ability to produce written reports including detailed analysis and recommendations.
  • Can convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Have hands-on experience with modern security tools and DFIR standard processes.
  • Can take high-level requirements and with some guidance produce and implement an action plan to accomplish tasks.
  • Can prioritize and balance tasks with some guidance.
  • Have a desire to achieve and contribute to an impactful team.
