As Global Head of Tax and Compliance you will ensure correct and prompt compliance with tax regulations and local government units' requirements (BIR, ATO, IRS, PEZA, CDC, other LGUs). Establish and maintain contact with outside parties to ensure proper and timely settlements of tax and compliance concerns and identify and assess various aspects of the company's activity and applicable tax criteria, advises on the operations, finance, and accounting departments on compliance obligations.

About this role...

Lead a group of global tax accountants (PH, ANZ, NA) and work with them to meet below responsibilities.

Reviews work outputs of staff members and ascertains if content is correct, accurate, timely.

Responsible for the timely and accurate filing and payment of national taxes (e.g., income tax, value added tax, withholding taxes, among others). For ANZ (BAS, IAS, Superannuation, FBT, GST, PAYG, Payroll Tax). Support US Tax compliance.

Performs tax compliance audits to identify potential tax exposures and recommends measures to address them.

Manage and coordinate regular external audits and tax audits to ensure effective tax compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements.

Address and manage tax notices and assessments, including coordination with examiners, review of document and schedules prepared by the team, and the check of the propriety of the assessment findings.

Prepare and update tax filing calendars for all the stakeholders across the company.

Keep abreast of appropriate tax regulatory changes impacting assigned entities and translate changes into the processes and systems to ensure compliance.

Assist in the preparation of Transfer Pricing Documentations

Help in training the different stakeholders in enhancing their tax awareness and consciousness towards the company's compliance with national tax laws.

Assist in the preparation of schedules, retrieval of supporting documents, letter correspondence in line with tax and legal compliances like PEZA, BOC, SEC and BIR

Ensure final returns, working files and other related documents are stored on SharePoint and determine if there are documents required by country law to be archived physically or electronically.

Perform other compliance tasks assigned by the VP of Finance.

About you...

Bachelor's degree, 4 or 5-year business course, BS Accountancy, Finance & Management Accounting or equivalent.

Preferably Certified Public Accountant

Hands on experience with external and BIR audits

PH Tax expertise and LGU requirements knowledge are required.

With knowledge, experience for ANZ and NA taxation.

Senior Tax Head or Director capacity work experience, leading Tax Group or doing Tax Practice for at least 10 years.

With strong finance and audit background, can analyse huge financial data and records.

Strong taxation and financial audit experience

Strong Communications and Reporting skills

Excellent Microsoft Apps skills (Excel, Word, Power point- required, Power BI, Visio- preferred but can learn more later)

Data analytics skills- can work with, manipulate, and analyse data transforming to simplified information and conclusions.

Multi- country experience across Finance, Operational Excellence and Other Operational functions, but mainly Tax & Compliance

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and direct non direct reports in an effective manner.

Ability to motivate, counsel, and constructively deal with people at all levels. Ability to supervise and manage large teams and organizations.

Required People management skills; ability to assess and develop team members to their full potential. Good performance management and motivational support are essential.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, focused on achieving results.

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet agreed deadlines.
