As the Technical Consultant, you will provide technical expertise in the ServiceNow platform to help deliver successful outcomes for our client and their clients. This includes working closely and collaboratively with project teams to complete the configuration, development, testing, and documentation of ServiceNow implementations, as well as general technical support and troubleshooting.

As a member of our client's technical team, you will ensure that all work delivered meets the technical standards and are delivered within an Agile delivery methodology.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Display an understanding of the end-to-end processes required for ValueFlow projects and/or Managed Services (O2C) and the input processes to this (O2O)
  • Provide project delivery support and execution including story review, points planning, deliverable creation, technical development, testing, release management, client handover activities
  • Display high levels of communication skills suitable for consulting with a broad range of clients and industries, including attending workshops and providing support to lead advisory consultants in the gathering and analyzing of client requirements
  • Configure and develop ServiceNow applications and modules to meet client requirements, ensuring all solutions are designed and implemented in accordance with ValueFlow technical standards and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with other technical and functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ServiceNow solutions with other enterprise applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the ServiceNow platform
  • Participate in ServiceNow upgrades and patches, ensuring new functionality is available and any required customisations are maintained appropriately
  • Contribute to the ValueFlow internal platform including the knowledge base, technical issues, templates, repeatable deliverables
  • A dedication to displaying professionalism and using clear communication processes within ValueFlow, including a willingness to participate in a mentoring program
  • Where relevant, complete onboarding processes for customers
  • Share collective responsibility for delivering organisational objectives, through active engagement and collaboration with employees at all levels in the organisation externally and internally
  • Work collaboratively, communicate, and liaise effectively acting as the conduit between the technical team and the client
  • Strong listener and advocate for the client ensuring the requirements are translated into actional outcomes

Requirements

Must-have Skills / Qualification:

  • At least2 to 3 years of Experience working for a technology or professional services business with a client-focused environment as a ServiceNow developer/administrator or experience as a technical programmer or Diploma level (or above) qualification in Information Technology or Software Engineering
  • Effective stakeholder engagement; being able to deal with stakeholders and project team members in nominated engagements
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of the ServiceNow platform including at least one ServiceNow portfolio
  • Intermediate knowledge and ability in the following technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Basic knowledge and ability in one or more of the following technologies: Angular, React, SSL, SSO, HTTP, REST and SOAP communication protocols
  • Basic knowledge of version control and code repositories (not necessarily in ServiceNow)
  • Basic knowledge of document control
  • Basic understanding of Waterfall Project Management
  • Basic understanding of Agile development (SCRUM preferred), and general development principles
  • Possess a current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD) Certificate
