Job Description:

Major Accountabilities:

  • Implementing Agile process, principles and practices in a project and create a standard to be adopted at multiple projects
  • Use techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise and coach teams around the principles, practices and help build an Agile mindset and culture within teams.
  • Facilitate estimation and planning, daily progress, customer reviews, demos and retrospective sessions with teams.
  • Guide the team in their continuous improvement journey using the relevant metrics for scrum and kanban
  • Conduct sessions with teams around Agile Overview, Processes and Practices, writing user stories. Backlog refinement, TDD, Test automation, CI and on agile tools and techniques as required. The approach should be creative, innovative and effective to ensure the team understands concepts.
  • Provide insights into areas for improvements and target structure with a focus on outcomes based on Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Build a good rapport with sponsor and senior management within the client organization highlighting periodically the risks/issues/concerns in Agile adoption with solutions to overcome bottle-necks and ways to institutionalize practices
  • Aware of the Software Development Life Cycle and Quality concepts
  • Strong leadership, planning, organizational and consulting skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences. Strong interpersonal skills
  • Work in a matrix organization setup with dotted line reporting to various function heads across the geographies
  • Experience working in a multi-site, multi-time zone environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills to work effectively in a changing environment balancing operations and project delivery
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations/problems systematically and deliver effective right-sized solutions in a timely manner

Education and experience

  • A University degree in Computer Science or Management
  • Certified Agile Coach
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
  • Experience and knowledge of SAFe, preferably with certification
  • 8-10 years of progressive information technology experience
  • At least 3-4 yr as a Agile Coach and 2 yrs as Scrum Master
  • Agile coaching and leadership certifications such as ICP-ACC, CAL, PAL, SPC etc.-Preferred
  • Knowledge of the financial and insurance industries
  • Programming experience is a must. Good knowledge of technologies like Devops, Cloud with a good understanding of technical practices such as TDD, BDD and of a wider technological landscape.
