The IT Project and Quality Assurance Senior Manager leads the business userstechnology support team in the analysis, design, testing, project management, andimplementation of core and supporting business, financial, and operational systems.

Job Responsibilities:

Business Requirements Analysis and Documentation; Quality Assurance Testing

  • Elicits, determines, and reviews business requirements through an end to-end impact analysis.
  • Documents user stories and route for stakeholders sign-off.
  • Identifies and recommends process improvement changes, if any, to addressissues being raised by business users.
  • Investigates and resolves escalated critical applications issues raised by users.
  • Leads the project planning, change management, quality assurance testing,and deployment of new or enhanced applications.
  • Formulates, implements, and monitors the end-to-end test strategy including,but not limited to, systems integration test, user acceptance test, informationsecurity test, system performance and reliability tests, etc.
  • Evaluates and recommends solutions for change requests or enhancementsrequested by the business users.
  • Manages third party systems development vendors for the resolution ofreported system bugs, or effort estimation for requested (andapproved)enhancements to ensure consistent compliance with agreed service levelsor turnaround times.
  • Manages and initiates continuing development/maintenance of the digitalapplications used by MaxiLife.
  • Keeps abreast of latest technology and security developments and makesappropriate new IT project recommendations or system upgrade with theappropriate budget allocations as necessary

IT Project Management

  • Manages, monitors project issues and risk, and implements IT projectsaccording to approved budget, timelies, and prioritization.
  • Leads and directs IT project / sprint planning sessions, as well as projectassessment/closing activities at the end of every implementation to ensurealignment with overall corporate objectives, IT systems development lifecycle (SDLC) and information security standards, and document lessonslearned for future reference.
  • Validates and monitors current system configurations and capacity toensure continuing business technology support for applications andsystems in Production use.
  • Tracks and makes regular reports to the Senior Management Team and theTechnology and Transformation Committee (TTC) regarding project healthand progress status.
  • Prepares all necessary project artifacts like project management plan,work breakdown schedule, project risk and issues resolutionprocess,project status reports and cadence, and the like.

People Management

  • Establishes clear objectives and expectations for project team members'performance.
  • Coaches, mentors, and inspires team members to take initiative and acceptresponsibility for the tasks given to them.
  • Ensures team members' ongoing professional and personal development,including the taking and passing of identified certification programs.
  • Evaluates team members' performance and ensures any performancedeficiencies are identified and remedied accordingly.
  • Ensures adherence of team members to organizational policies.
  • Creates a harmonious working atmosphere and high level of self-esteemwithin the project team unit without compromising its credibility andintegrity.
  • Performs other activities that may be assigned from time to time.

Technical Skills

  • Solid experience in the use of life insurance administrationkey financial systems
  • Expertise in quality assurance testing, documentation andprocess re-engineering.
  • Expertise in business requirements documentation andpresentation skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent skills in SQL scripts and data analysis
  • Solid experience in the use of automated quality assurancetesting tools, as well as test defects ticketing tool

Qualifications:

  • Completed Bachelors degree in Computer Science or any Business /Management Course
  • Have taken and passed Life Office Management Association (LOMA) exams
  • Certification on Project Management, Business Analysis, Quality Assurance Testing
  • With at least 5 years prior experience in the Insurance industry with demonstrated expertise in business analysis and documentation, project management, use and maintenance of life insurance administration systems,
