Sr. Lead Engineer is responsible for ensuring that quality design deliverables are released in a timely manner. Duties include complete understanding of the project requirement, preparation of detailed design schedule, conduct of comprehensive design review to ensure that designs are well-coordinated and in accordance with the latest Codes and Standards, Regulations and Client's Requirements. This position will report to Engineering Manager-Design. This position collaborates with other Design Engineers and coordinates with other engineers from various departments of the company, consultants and Client.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Finalize Basic Engineering Design Data that will serve as the basis for Lead Engineer in the preparation of design criteria.

• Prepare, verify and validate the calculation or analysis

• Review the completed design and drawings to confirm that the design output meets the design input requirements

• Review fabrication drawings, construction drawings, vendor drawings and specification on compliance with the design requirements.

• Conduct inter-discipline review

• Ensure all cross-references to other specification sections are accurate

• Review specifications for coordination with the plans and other documents

• Check all other disciplines' plans for conflicts

• Responsible to the Engineering Manager for all aspect of design and engineering

• Provide engineering support for procurement efforts and construction activities as necessary throughout the duration of the project

• Coordinate with client and outside designer

• Develop a complete understanding of the requirement of the project

• Prepare / check deliverable list (drawings and documents list)

• Prepare detailed schedule base on the overall design schedule and deliverables

• Analyze design issues and identify possible engineering solutions.

• Check and finalize design submittals during tender stage such as Technical Qualifications, Basic Engineering Design Data, Concept Drawings if required.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• Should be an Engineering Board Passer.
• 7-10 years' experience in supervising the design works ensuring that quality design deliverables are released in a timely manner.
• Accurate and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Team player
• Good at problem-solving
• Sound leadership skill
• Good interpersonal skills
• Knowledgeable and experienced in utilization of design software and tools used in his/her trade.
• Knowledgeable with both local and international design codes
• With working knowledge of the codes used by allied trades
• Experience in monitoring and managing scope of multiple projects of varying complexity and size.
