Due to achieving organic growth, we are seeking a senior accountant to assist the practice managers with their existing business client work, along with ad hoc business work, queries and individual tax returns.

Working closely with the Directors, and given strong guidance and a structured approach to work, as a boutique established practice, clients hold very strong personal and professional relationships with the organisation,

You will:

  • Manage your own portfolio of clients
  • Have Experience in tax compliance and advisory for SMSF
  • Have Experience in preparation of Payroll Tax, FBT
  • Prepare strategic advice for client meetings
  • Identify and provide strategic tax advice on various investment and business structure

To succeed, you must have:

  • Recent work experience in Australian tax for a minimum of 5 years
  • Proficiency in Xero, Quickbooks, MS Excel and MS Word
  • Experience in preparation of full set of financial statements for all entity structures
  • Tax compliance experience for all entities including Trusts, Companies, Partnerships and Individuals
  • Experience Liaising with the ATO and ASIC on behalf of clients

  • Attention to detail, technical skills and analytical thinking
  • Teamwork and ability to collaborate with managers
  • Proactive approach in solving tax issues / queries i.e. through research and self-learning
  • Ability to Learn and adapt to changes in tax legislation
  • Work autonomously and own the role / tasks given
  • Experience in cloud-based accounting systems for bookkeeping, payroll, BAS preparation and Annual financial statements.
  • Experience with cloud-based Tax software for the preparation of income tax returns.
  • Knowledge with Australian Tax legislation for business and personal tax.
